NAIT Tag Compliance

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) requires all livestock to have their National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) Ear Tags to be up to date. The Animal Status Declaration (ASD) and Declaration to Livestock Transporter (DLT) must both be completed and given to the driver. These are available below for downloading and printing at home; it is also possible to get a book of these posted to you.

Ensure all livestock have correct NAIT Ear Tags to avoid fines or prosecution. 

Maungatapere Transport will NOT carry any livestock without their correct NAIT Ear Tags and necessary documentation (ASD and DLT Forms).

Maungatapere Transport Operating in COVID-19 Level 3

Maungatapere Transport is operating differently with COVID-19 Level 3 restrictions; including pre-ordering for collection, a collection bay, over the counter service, registration for contact tracing and contactless payment methods.

Pre-Ordering for Collection

Any orders can be made by calling (09) 43 46 632 or by email maungataperetransport@gmail.com.

Collection Bay

To ensure safety we have a Collection Bay for phone orders to provide a contactless service. This is located inside the workshop doors on Otaika Valley Road. This service is available for one customer at a time to collect their purchases.

Over the Counter Service

Our front door will have restricted access for “one bubble at a time” inside; Monday to Friday 10 am to 3 pm. This service is available for inquiries that cannot be completed over the phone and Postal services. Please be patient with these necessary procedures to protect you and our limited onsite staff.

Registration for Contact Tracing

In the event of being asked by authorities to show a record of visitors, an Onsite Registry has been implemented. This can be filled out by scanning a QR Code to complete online or can be done at the Front Shop with your own pen.

COVID-19 Response

COVID-19 Response Maungatapere Transport LTD

As per Covid-19 Alert Level 4 restrictions, we can ONLY supply critical products to essential businesses who NEED our products in order to carry out their essential services.

This also applies to NZ Post as ONLY essential items should be posted or couriered at this time.

This refers to all New Zealanders and businesses, and includes the provision of food, medicine, healthcare, energy, fuel, waste-removal, internet and financial support.

We appreciate your understanding at this time and trust that as we all work together to keep our community safe, we will be able to function with more flexibility as the risks decrease and the Covid-19 Alert Level is lowered.

While we cannot sell other products to non-essential workers, we are still able to sell STOCK FOOD to all customers through our contactless payments and safe collection process.
